    No Art? No Way!

First, I miss you and I hope that you are having a lovely time with your family.

If you haven't been on schoology yet, please try to log on and access your art course.  If you click on the materials folder for your art course there are many things to help you learn and create amazing works of art.

If you need to get in touch with me, you can message me on dojo, schoology or email me at tewinslow@buffaloschools.org

Everything is on Schoology in the materials folder in your art course:

At-Home Art Challenges: First click on the “At-Home-Art Challenges” word doc. This word document has art challenges that you should be completing each week. So “art challenge 1” is completed on week 1, “art challenge 2” is completed on week 2 and so on.  If you can’t open the “At-Home-Art Challenges” word doc, let me know, I will message it to you. If you are new to this, don't worry. You can definitely catch up, I am not going to be super strict on deadlines because I know everyone is trying their best with limited access to devices.

Art Weekly Plan: Click on the “Art Weekly Plan” word doc. This has a weekly schedule of how you could be completing and submitting work. These are suggestions, I understand that you all are working with different levels of access to devices and at different times.

At-Home-Art Challenges Video Links: I have embedded links to YouTube videos about the artists and their artwork from each weekly challenge. You can check these out to learn more about the artists and their artwork.

At-Home-Art Challenges Definitions: I will post these to the “At-Home-Art Challenge Definitions” folder on Mondays, so you can read them, learn them, write them on a piece of paper or make artwork showing you understand what the words mean. Each challenge has a set of definitions for you to learn and define. You can take a photo of your written definitions and/or your artwork. These photos can be messaged to me on dojo or schoology, they could be uploaded to your dojo portfolio, or you can upload them to the “At-Home-Art Challenges Artwork Submissions” media folder. Pro tip: These appear in the quizzes, so learn them and you will get a 4 out of 4 on the quiz.

Teacher and Student examples of Artwork Challenges: Not sure what to create? Here you can find examples of teacher and student artwork that relates to each challenge. Use these to inspire you, please don’t copy them :)

Submitting Artwork: Each weekly At-Home-Art Challenge has an art making assignment that corresponds to the artist and art making that you have learned about. You can take a photo of your finished artwork. These photos can be messaged to me on dojo or schoology, they could be uploaded to your dojo portfolio, or you can upload them to the “At-Home-Art Challenges Artwork Submissions” media folder. There are directions on how to upload to the “At-Home-Art Challenges Artwork Submissions” media folder in the materials folder of your art class on schoology.

Quizzes: Click on the “At-Home-Art Challenges Quizzes” Folder and take a quiz after you complete the challenge in the packet. If you finished challenge 1, you should take the challenge 1 quiz. If you finished challenge 2, you should take the challenge 2 quiz. You can retake the quiz 4 times to get a 4 out of 4. These quizzes are meant to make sure you learn the information, not to give you anxiety :)

The most important thing is to stay safe, healthy, and happy! I miss you and I hope that you are enjoying this time with your family.

    Best,
    Ms. Winslow
