The 1619 Project
The 1619 Project is a 2019 publication compiled by the New York Times Magazine. Contributors of this publication analyzed how contemporary social, political, and economic structures have been influenced by slavery. Articles from the publication are infused into content curriculums to support students' learning and provide them with history that has often been omitted or silenced in textbooks.
