I have been a classroom teacher in Buffalo for twenty years.   During that time I received my Masters in Social Studies Education from Buffalo State College and a TESOL certification from SUNY Fredonia.  I taught seventh and eighth grades at the International School #45 and West Hertel Academy for fifteen years.  I have been teaching high school for the past five years at Newcomer Academy.    My Newcomer students starting used iPads starting in 2016 and the school soon transitioned to a one to one model.   During this time, I participated in the My Digital Classroom and was able to attend NYSCATE and ISTE.  I learned so much from these experiences and was able to make the transition from having students consume technology to having students create technology.  My goal for the future is to have technology change not just where we can learn, but how.
