Course Description:
Consumer Economics/Personal Finance courses provide students with an understanding of the concepts and principles involved in managing one’s personal finances. Topics may include savings and investing, credit, insurance, taxes and social security, spending patterns and budget planning, contracts, and consumer protection. These courses may also provide an overview of the American economy.
Course Objectives:
Career and Technical Education integrates rigorous academics with relevant career and technical skills, as well as, workplace attitudes and behaviors. The programs include interactive learning activities, mentoring programs, internships and real world experiences. Career and Technical Education courses prepare students to be college and career ready with the needed skills and certifications to ensure they are employable and/or college ready in their specific course of study.

Method of Instruction:

Attendance
Attendance is a very important part of all students’ successful education. If a student misses more than [28] classes in a full-year course, they will not be eligible to pass that course.
If a student misses class it is their responsibility to ask for missed work, etc., upon their return. If a test/quiz was administered during their absence, the make-up will be given the day after their return to class.

I am a Special Education teacher. I work with students in CTE to increase their job skills. We run a print shop in the school that is managed by the students. I have been a teaher for 16 years and I have been at I Prep for 10.
