PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND HEALTH
Physical Education (PE) and Health instruction are guided by curriculum aligned to the 2020 New York State Physical Education and Health Standards and is critical in supporting student academic and artistic success.
To graduate, students must earn two credits (.5 credits each year of HS) of Physical Education at the commencement-level and a half credit (.5 credit) in Health Education at the commencement-level. Students must take Physical Education every semester they are enrolled in high school. Students who have physical limitations or who experience a long-term injury or illness will have their PE program adapted for them.
Please note:
- Some classes are unique to a particular program or school.
- Not every class is offered at every school.
- Course offerings may change yearly based on student course requests and other factors.
