• Dear Parents/Guardians:

    Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! We are looking forward to having your child in physical education class this year. Although this school year may look different due to remote learning when we start the year we will still be working on moving and getting lots of exercise.

     In order to have a safe and productive learning environment the school-wide discipline plan will be enforced. As well as specific netiquette during all online classes. Grade Policy in physical education is based primarily on three areas (this will be broken down more in the PE syllabus):

    * Psychomotor assessments

    * Affective assessments

    *Cognitive assessments

     Testing, both written and physical will be administered throughout the year to gauge their understanding of the subject matter.

     Physical education is important to your child's development. Along with the many health benefits of exercise, it also improves your child's social behavior and has been proven to increase cognitive ability. Think of it as exercise for the brain. Good sportsmanship and teamwork are very important not only in the gym but in real life situations too. Good sportsmanship is always required in class!!

     We are looking forward to having a great year!!!

     Sincerely,

     The physical education department- (Mr. Bennett, Mr. Kowalski, Mrs. Schiele and Mr. Deville )
