    The following resources provide sources of award-winning and notable books and ebooks for readers of all ages and interests. Patrons interested in book reviews will also find relevant information.

     

    American Library Association Book, Print & Media Awards

    American Library Association (ALA) award-winning books and media hub. Numerous recommended lists and awards lists covering various genres, topics, and authors of diverse backgrounds are included. Useful starting point to discover award-winning and honored books in a many categories.

     

    Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) Booklists

    Compilation of recommeded books and media for children. Includes summer reading lists, graphic novels, and books to address challenging and current topics in an age-approproate way. An excellent starting point for discovering children's materials.

     

    Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) Booklists

    ALA/YALSA compilation of recommeded books and media for young adults age 12-18. Includes recommended fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, and books for reluctant readers. An excellent starting point for discovering young adult materials.

     

    School Library Journal Book Reviews

    Hundreds of book reviews available from this noted journal. Book reviews available based on grade level, genre, and collection type. Author/illustrator articles and reviews are also present.

     


    Buffalo and Erie County Public Library Ebooks

    Ebooks and audiobooks from the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library can be read through Overdrive using the Libby app. Available throught the App Store and Google Play, Libby is the reader used to access ebooks and audiobooks through many public libraries.  A digital or traditional library card is required to access these materials.

     

    Gale Ebooks Resource Guide

    Support materials summarizing Gale's Ebook collection. Users can access numerous reference sources through the Gale database portal.

     

    New York Public Library--SimplyE

    Access thousands of ebooks and audiobooks from the New York Public Library using SimplyE.  This e-reader app can be used with a free digital library card from the New York Public Library to access these materials.  The app is available through the App Store and Google Play.
