AP Language and Composition is an introductory college-level course revolving around the language of Social Activism. Students will develop their skills in literary analysis as well as argument. The course focuses mainly on speeches and non-fiction texts, through which students will assess the merits of various arguments and ultimately learn to construct their own. In addition, students will be expected to read and write extensively as well as work outside of class time. Students will demonstrate their learning in two final exams: the AP Language and Composition Exam as well as the NYS Regents Exam (required for High School Diploma).
