Welcome to second grade with Miss Piaggione and Mrs. Carter!

We are so excited to start off a fantatstic school year with you!

A little bit about Miss Piaggione...

Hello first graders! I am so lucky to have you all in my class this year :) I have been teaching in the Buffalo Public Schools for the past three years. When I first started teaching in Buffalo, I was a first grade teacher, but then I was moved up to teach 5th and 6th graders. Second grade is THE BEST and I feel so lucky to be back  in first grade teaching this class. I am not originally from Buffalo, but I have lived here for most of my life. I am a big Buffalo Bills fan and I also love to go and watch the Buffalo Sabres play! I attended Canisius College and I played 4 years of Divison 1 soccer there. Sports, especially soccer, are a huge part of my life. I currently coach the JV girls soccer team at Williamsville North, which happens to be where I went to high school! My family lives all over the place (Long Island, Washington D.C., and Hawaii)! So I miss them very much. Family is extrememly important to me. I like to treat my class like our own little family. I am here for you for anything you need and I will always do my best to ensure that you are learning each and every day and having FUN while doing it!

A little bit about this school year...

We are so excited to be back in school with our students! We will be following covid and safety protocols this year with mask mandates and social distancing in the building in order to keep your children and our staff safe. If you ever have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to call. 

We will continue to use Class Dojo, Schoology, and Infinite Campus to communicate with families.
