Community Schools

On December 6th, the Bennett Campus hosted a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in partnership with the Erie County Department of Health.  The clinic administered over 40 vaccines, the majority of which were students.  Community Schools will continue to offer free vaccinations in the coming weeks, more information on future clinics will be posted soon.

This holiday season Community Schools was the recipient of almost 500 new winter coats from Macy's through their Macy's Gives program.  Half of those coats were given to East Community High School while the remaining coats were split amongst the remaining Community Schools.  During East's Saturday Academy on December 11th, attendees were not only provided new coats but also boxes of fresh food and produce courtesy of FeedMore WNY.  We want to thank Say Yes Buffalo for their work to bring these partnerships and donations to our Community Schools, Macy's Gives and FeedMore WNY for their incredible generosity, and the entire team at #309 for their hard work. 

Community School #3 D'Youville Porter Campus got into the spirit of the season with their Satuday Academy on December 11th.  Check out some of the holiday themed crafts from this past weekend below:

#80 Highgate Heights had over 100 people join their Saturday Academy this weekend! Their dynamic Winter Wonderland featured free haircuts, a photo booth with Timeless Tunez, CEPA Gallery Family Portraits, and a Paint & Sip Hot Cocoa with Anything Arts.

School #76 Herman Badillo Bilinigual Academy had a packed Saturday Academy on 12/18 with musical performances, Buffalo String Works, the SPCA, a green screen, and even a visit from Santa!
