NPCS After-School Sections
NPCS's after-school program is comprised of Care Program and Clubs. Dismissal for both components does not begin until 5:00 pm. If a student must get picked up early, the parent should call the Main Office to notify.
We are currently offering two sections of the Care Program, which is for K-2 and 3-4. During Care Program, students will receive various Enrichment experiences (Art, Music, STEAM, building) for the first part of the session. During the second part of the session, students will work on their homework, reading, and other major academic components. The program runs Monday through Friday with pick up beginning at 5:00 pm.
STEAM: We will host two separate sections of STEAM Club (K-2 and 3-4). STEAM for K-2 will run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and STEAM for 3-4 will run on Mondays and Thursdays. During STEAM, students will work in cooperative groups to build, solve problems, code, create, explore, and inquire.
Book Club: Book club will be offered for students in grades 1st and 2nd on Mondays and Tuesdays. Students will explore different books to build their excitement for reading, comprehension, and share experiences that relate to what students are reading.
Intramurals: This club will be offered to students in grades 3 and 4. Students will participate in various team sports to practice athletic skills, team building, sportsmanship, and have fun.
Instrument: Instrument will be offered to students in grades 3 and 4 that are enrolled in our String Program. Mondays will be for students in grade 3 and Tuesdays will be for students in grade 4.
