*12/6/13 P.T.O. Popcorn Friday-
Popcorn is sold for 50 cents per bag during lunch periods to all class rooms. A delightful treat for children offered during lunch period only.
*12/913 through 12/12/13 SECRET SANTA WORKSHOP
9:30a.m. to3:00p.m. Santa and the Hiller Park PTO are buddying up with the elf’s of the North Pole to give our kids a chance to do their own holiday shopping. This is a chance for kids to buy gifts for their loved ones. Prices will range from 2.25 cents to $12.00 dollars and there will be a shopping budget sheet sent home so that parents can designate the amount of funds or items they would like the child to purchase.
This is a great time for us parents to be involved in a school event. We will be looking for parent to volunteer their time in wrapping stations, elf shop helpers and student escorts to and from classroom’s. All in a great holiday spirit for the children of Hillery Park Elementary.
*12/17/13 Parent Power Hour Meeting-
1pm. -2p.m. A meeting for homeroom parents also parents interested in becoming a homeroom parents.
Disseminate information between Parent Facilitator and homeroom parents. This is a parent to parent connection, information exchange, address possible issues. Working together to improve parent involvement in the class.
*12/18/13 Parent Involvement Committee Meeting
Parents are critical to creating a school environment that nurtures students
and staff toward excellence. Come partner with faculty and staff at Hillery Park Elementary and discuss upcoming school wide events. Come and give your input on ways to strengthen the relationship between families and our school
*12/18/13 WINTER CONCERT 1:30p.m.
All concerts will be presented in their entirety. Parents and Guardians are invited to attend any performance, please remember that space is limited and the seats in front will be reserved for students.
Parking is limited so we are asking parents to show 10 minutes early if you are planning on driving.
We do ask that if you are taking your student home after the final concert, please wait until the conclusion so that your student may see the entire performance.
Students in Pre –Kindergarten through 3rd grade are allowed holiday dress for the concert.
4th grade through 8th grade are to be in concert attire such as a white collared shirt, no emblems or logos, and black pants or knee length jumper/skirt, socks and shoes, no sneakers or jeans please.
