    Current Professional Experiences:

    I am an Integrated Co-teacher Teacher (ICT) for 8th grade. I also work as an adjunct professor for the Graduate Special Education Department at Canisius College. I also assist in teaching an undergraduate course at Daemen College called "Teaching to the Standards". As a Steering Committee member at Daemen College, I have the opportunity to make important decisions about the Teacher Leadership Quality Partnership at the college. Through the T.L.Q.P. program I also have the opportunity to present yearly at the Science Teachers Association of New York (S.T.A.N.Y.S.). I also works at the Education Department at the Buffalo Zoo as a docent and animal handler.

    Past Professional Experiences:

    Prior to teaching at Hillery Park #27 in 8th grade, I taught grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, (in Buffalo Public Schools) and Middle School (6-8) Science and Math (in Lackawanna). 

    Certifications & Education: 

    I am permanently certified in the areas Elementary Education (pre-K-5), Reading (pre-K-12), Special Education (pre-K-12), Early Secondary Science, Biology, and School District Administration. I'm starting my ph.D. in Education this fall focusing on General Education Studies. 

    My education background includes a dual Bachelors of Arts degree from Canisius College. I received two Masters of Science degree from Canisius College.

    Professional Development:

    My professional development includes serving on the Steering Committee of Teacher/Quality Leadership Panel at Daemen College. I am a member of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), Science Teacher Association of New York State (STANYS), Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), Phi Delta Kappa (PDK), and the Foundation for Arts and Athletics for Buffalo (FAAB). She is certified in GESA (Generating Expectations for Student Achievement). Utilizing the peer review process she has learned at Daemen, I facilitate Graduates in  a Special Education class to write and review learning experiences. 

    At Hillery Park Elementary:

    At Hillery Park Elementary, I am the Chairperson of the Health and Wellness Committee. I'm also the Chairperson of the Site Based Management Team. I am also a member of the E.L.A. Committee, Math Committee, and Student Support Committee. I also participate in the Check-in Check out program with several students. I'm also excited about becoming a turn key trainer for the Common Core Standards.
