Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to second grade! I am very excited about the upcoming year. I look forward to working with your child. I feel that communication between parents and teachers is vital to your child’s education.

I have very high expectations for both academics and behavior. The school planner will be used to keep you aware of homework, upcoming events, as well as your child’s behavior and progress. This must be signed by an adult nightly and becomes an easy way for us to communicate. Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. The weekend will be open for you to focus on reading together for enjoyment. I appreciate your support. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
