    World Book Online Encyclopedia

A great place to start, especially if you don’t know much about a topic and want a general overview before your in-depth research.  It’s also great for narrowing down a topic.

    PBS LearningMedia

Your destination for easy, instant access to thousands of classroom-ready, digital resources including videos and interactives perfect for the Interactive Whiteboard, plus audio and photos, and even in-depth lesson plans. The resources are aligned to the New York State core curriculum and Common Core standards for grades K-12. You can search, save, and share with ease. Best of all, PBS LearningMedia is free for educators. Register today!

    Core Curriculum Content Videos

The district has purchased a web site with videos in numerous subject areas that are available for streaming.  They are perfect for use on white boards, but we should also be able to set them up to be displayed on a screen or TV.   The videos include a teacher's guide, student activities, and multiple choice questions which are available online or as a hard copy.  Take a look and see if there is anything you can use to enrich your curriculum.

    EngageNY

EngageNY is an evolving, collaborative platform for educators. As the Regents Reform Agenda moves forward across the state, we want you to be able to access and share resources that work for you.  This page was designed specifically with teachers in mind.  Use it to share resources and get information and help implementing New York’s Common Core standards and the other tenets of the Regents Reform Agenda.

    Khan Academy

With a library of over 2,600 videos covering everything from arithmetic to physics, finance, and history and 233 practice exercises, we're on a mission to help you learn what you want, when you want, at your own pace.  All of the site's resources are available to anyone.  It doesn't matter if you are a student, teacher, home-schooler, principal, adult returning to the classroom after 20 years, or a friendly alien just trying to get a leg up in earthly biology.  The Khan Academy's materials and resources are available to you completely free of charge.
