My Home Page

  • Welcome to my website!

This page will give parents and students information on the High School application process. The process is very important in selecting school choices and being placed in 9th grade. District policy states that all final placements are for 1 year and then parents/guardians can apply for a school transfer at Central Registration.

My goal is to make the website not just a tool for me, as the school counselor, but to connect with parents, and give parents important information.

The high school application is available on the district's website under Central Registration, but I will be meeting with each 8th grade student individually to discuss their high school choices. We will discuss grades, attendance, and behavior from 6th and 7th grade and the first half of 8th grade. Each student gets to select 5 choices. Charter schools and private schools are not a choice for the Buffalo Public School application. Each of those schools do have their own applications to fill out. Once I meet with the students, the application will be sent home for parents/guardians to review and to sign. These applications are due back to me by mid November. I will then hand in the applications to Central Registration. Parents should start to receive letters about placement in late winter/early spring.

Along with the high school process, I also meet with students individually and in group settings. I am also on the Attendance Team at school 66. Students need to attend school every day to receive all the instruction and support they need to be successful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me or call the school at 816-3144.
