Welcome to First Grade!

 My name is Mrs. J. McMillan I have been teaching the Buffalo school district for 27 students.

 It is going to be an Awesome year!  

This is a transitional year for your child. 

They will grow in many aspects such as  independence, height, and academically. 

There are many goals, projects, and assignments that you and your child will experience. 

Reading skills and Math skills are the up-most  important focus for this school year.  Many resources will be used to drive my instruction to make sure your child is prepared the next grade.

 There are many challenging, exciting and fun-filled activities that we will do this year. 

There will be some appropriate grade level field trips. 

Please join the DoJo program. It will give you immediate information on our class and your students day.
