Welcome to the Marva J Daniel Futures Preparatory School 37

The Marva J Daniel Futures Preparatory School is made up of three smaller learning communities.  The House of DEL includes Pre-K through 3rd grades. Grades 4-8 are gender specific.

I will be focusing this year on the high school ahead process working primarily with grades 6-8.  This will entail information concerning future high school choices, application process, and smart goals.

School counseling services include small group and individual counseling designed to support and enhance academic achievement.  Referrals can be made by parents, teachers, and support staff.  I have an open door policy if there is anything I can help with please do not hesitate to contact me.

The Marva J Daniel Futures Preparatory School follows the Positive Behavior Intervention Systems model.  Within this model we have three TRIPLE A's which support our academic systems.  Our three triple A's are as follows:

A= Academics we strive for excellence in all we do

A= Attendance is vital so we can learn

A= Attitude a positive attitude promotes learning

Ready Freddy Program- Is a specialized program which supports our youngest learners grades PK-K.  The program focuses upon attendance.  Studies have shown students who have good attendance have strong academics.  Every Friday our mascot Ready Freddy (a frog), visits each PK and K room to encourage students to come to school everyday and on time.  The teachers in these grade levels have embraced the concept and you will often see the frog theme used to promote attendance and academics.
