Harvey Austin Elementary School #97!

We would like to offer this site to students, parents and staff to encourage conversation about how school behaviors and choices affect student learning and the school environment.

 

We utilize Panther Paws to encourage behavior that embodies the 3 R's - Respect, Responsibility and Reflection.  Panther Paws may be redeemed for $.05 at the school store.  Students that demonstrate behavior that goes above and beyond are eligible for Golden Paws.  Recipients of Golden Paws are entered into a monthly drawing. 

Our first focus will be aspects of bullying:  what exactly is bullying?  what can children or adults do who feel bullied?  how can we help the person bullying see the destructive nature of this behavior?  Having a discussion on these topics is a good first step.
