    US History and Government

This course will examine the political, economic and social events which shaped United States History from colonial times to the present. The blueprint for the course is the United States Constitution. It is imperative that students have a good foundation and understanding of this document, which has been the law of our land for over 200 years. At the end of the year (June) students will take a regents examination in this course. In order to pass the course and graduate from high school students must have a passing average of 65% (4 quarters) and score a 65% or higher on the regents exam.
