Education is Power

  • "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela

  • Hello Students, Parents, and Guardians:

I hope you and your family are staying safe during this difficult time. To continue to provide academic support for students, I will be posting assignments on Schoology along with videos that will hopefully help students understand the educational content. I am also interested in creating conference spaces for students to meet with me online, virtually using either Schoology or the Lifesize application. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

    Best,

    Ms. Shuck

Ms. Shuck

Hello! My name is Jordan Shuck, and I am so excited to be the 7th and 8th grade 12-1-2 SPED teacher for the 2019-2020 school year! I grew up an army 'brat' and have lived all across the United States and abroad. I went to 11 different schools before I graduated from high school! I claim Louisville, Kentucky, as my home- although I have never really lived there. I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2018 with my B.A. in Education and currently attend Canisius College, where I am working on my M.S. in Education. I began my teaching career as an ENL teacher abroad in Beijing, China, but moved to Buffalo in August with a desire to teach middle school special education. As a teacher, I strive to make my students' confident advocates for themselves and independent learners. Children are the future of our society, and I have the coolest job in the world to help set them up for success!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy listening to podcasts, doing yoga, playing board games with friends and family, going for long walks with my boyfriend, recycling, and planning my next adventure.
