Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to second grade! My name is Ms. Davis and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year! This is my 8th year teaching and 4th year at Harvey Austin. Previously, I have taught pre-k, 3rd, and 4th and I am very excited to continue teaching 2nd grade with your child. I have been busy getting our classroom ready for all of our new friends. I can’t wait to meet you and begin a fun-filled school year together!

In my classroom your child will be learning in lots of fun and engaging ways through the use of technology, hands on learning, small group and individualized instruction. I hope to teach your child how to work independently, and with peers, be organized, and be responsible. We are going to spend a lot time strengthening our reading and math skills so that you become a sharp second grader and learn skills needed for future grades!
