Welcome to Earth Science!

 

I have been teaching in Buffalo Public Schools at International Prep since 2016. I earned my B.F.A. in Photography from University at Buffalo in 2009, my B.A. in Geology from Buffalo State College in 2015, my MS Ed. in Secondary Education (Earth Science 7-12) from Buffalo State College in 2016 and my TESOL certificate of Advanced Studies from Niagara University in 2019. My professional career includes 4 years of teaching Earth Science, Environmental Science, and 7/8th grade Science. I am an active member of the school community serving on School Based Management Team, Safe and Civil Committee, NHS Co-Advisor, JV Girls Soccer Coach and Varsity Cheerleading Coach. I am also a member of STANYS and NSTA, serving as the SAR of ENL/SPED for STANYS (Western Section) which has allowed me to develop and lead professional development opportunities in science teaching best practices for teachers throughout New York. Outside of school I enjoy spending time discovering Western New York's natural world and it's many coffee shops!
