Applying to Hutch Tech

  • HUTCH TECH ADMISSIONS PROCESS:

    Students who are interested in attending Hutch Tech must:

    • Complete the COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOLS OF CHOICE APPLICATION. This application is available in the student's School Counseling Office, through the Student Placement Office of Buffalo, or the BPS Guidance Website. The application is completed by the student, their school counselor, and their school principal. It must be submitted by the due date printed on the application.
    • All applicants are required to take an entrance aptitude test which is administered at Hutch Tech HS in November of every year.

  • Attention 8th Grade Students and Parents:

    The following information is provided to give you the best chance for acceptance to Hutch Tech now that you have taken the exam.                         

    1. COMPLETE THE BUFFALO PUBLIC SCHOOLS HIGH SCHOOL APPLICATION 2021-2022
      1. Current Buffalo Public School Students see your Guidance Counselor.  Non-BPS students can also access the on-line High School Application here:  Online Application can be accessed HERE
      •  or go to 33 Ash Street Buffalo NY 14204
    2. School  Choice #1 should be  HUTCH TECH  (304) WITH PROGRAM CODE (ENG)  for your best chance of acceptance
    3. Have the teacher evaluation page (page 3 of 2021-2022 application) and 2019-20 grades filled out by school personnel.

    ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO:  CENTRAL REGISTRATION CENTER at 33 ASH STREET, BUFFALO, NY  14204

    Please submit paper work before or on DEADLINE (TBD) even if taking the make up exam (Date TBD).  
     

    Please note:  This date has not been determined yet. 

    PLEASE NOTE: Students who take the City Honors/Olmsted test and receive a letter of acceptance will not be obligated to attend either school until the Hutch Tech results are available.
