Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts presents: The Laramie Project

Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts - Theatre Department presents their high school play – The Laramie Project by Moises Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theater Project.

Directed by Andrew Kottler and Assistant Director Rebecca Bateson-Brown.

The play, based on the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard, is a theatrical portrait of a town coming to grips with horrible, hate-fueled violence. The play addresses sexual discrimination and violence. The Laramie Project is one of the most performed high school plays and is hailed as one of the most captivating and encompassing pieces of contemporary theatre.

The performance dates are Thursday, December 13 & Friday, December 14 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, December 15 at 2:00 PM at the Buffalo Academy for Visual & Performing Arts at 450 Masten Avenue in the Black Box Theater.

There are two school-time matinees on Wednesday, December 12 and Thursday, December 13 at 9:50 AM and is appropriate for ages 13 and up.

Tickets are $3.00 for students (K-12) & senior citizens and $6.00 for adults.
