Students, you're invited! Black History with Griot B: Emancipation and Me!

On behalf of the Office of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Initiatives, we would like to extend an invitation to all to join us for our virtual Black History program titled, Black History with Griot B: Emancipation and Me! on Friday, February 12th, 2021 from 1:00pm-3:00pm

Black History Month provides to us all the necessary opportunity to highlight and dig deeper into the contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout our history as a nation.

During the virtual session, students will be educated on the cultural celebrations and History of Black Americans and the African Diaspora. Students will be engaged in spoken word, Black History skits, and a concert, among other forms of entertainment and educational performances.

As an incentive, the schools with the highest student attendance will receive special prizes.

Thank you in advance for supporting us with this powerful day and hope to see all District community members at the Black History Virtual Celebration.  Please see flyer for Zoom info.
