Despite the challenges surrounding this year, several students from Olmsted 64 and Olmsted 156 choose to participate in the Erie County Music Educators (ECMEA) very first virtual solo festival. The normally in person solo festival is the way we select students for our prestigious All County Bands, Orchestra, and Choirs. The following students from my Instrumental Music Strings program participated, and several were selected for All County this year. Which will entitle them to free swag and a free online masterclass on their instruments, in lieu of the traditional All County Orchestra experience.
A special Congrats goes to Aidan Rio, 6th Grade, Olmsted #156, Double Bass, not only made All County Orchestra, but he had the top score for Erie County!!
