The geoboard is a square piece of plastic that has little nubs on which one can attach rubber bands and create shapes and lines.  It can  be really useful for teaching the  concept of slope.  When I said we are going to use geoboards in class, one of my students thought I meant Ouiji Boards and said that it will bring evil spirits into the class! Oh, the things they say!
