Why Teach for BPS?

COMPETITIVE PAY RATES – for first time teachers.  

  • 2022/2023 School Year starting rate of pay is $42,694.

  • 2023/2024 School Year starting rate of pay is $45,256.

CREDIT FOR PRIOR SERVICE – BPS honors up to 12 years of prior service in another school district.

RECRUITMENT INCENTIVE – BPS offers incentives for first time teachers in a public school district.  Through the Teachers of Tomorrow grant, this program provides awards of $3,400 per year and is renewable for three additional years. (Maximum cumulative award total is $13,600)

TUITION REIMBURSEMENT – BPS provides reimbursements for eligible teachers through the Teachers of Tomorrow grant.  Total initial and renewal awards may not exceed $4,200.
