Band Grades 5-12
The Band Department at the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts has spent the last 5 decades providing intensive musical education to our young musicians.

Studying under Master teachers, students will acquire advanced-level musical understanding and proficiency through their studies and performances. At graduation, students will be equipped for higher-level studies in music. Students are active in solo playing, small and large ensemble work, and rigorous music theory and music history courses. Music courses are fully credit-bearing and meet every school day. Students have the opportunity to study voice, guitar, orchestra or piano as a minor concentration.
Strings Grades 5-12
The Orchestra and Guitar programs at the Buffalo Academy for Visual & Performing Arts have had a very long and brilliant history.
