Erika LaMar
As a lifelong resident of Western New York, I began my career with Buffalo Public Schools in 2006 as a teacher aide. Driven by my passion for education, I earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Buffalo State College and later completed two master's degrees from Buffalo State University in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership. Throughout my professional journey, from classroom teacher in grade levels 6-9 and 9-12 here at BPMC to assistant principal, I have remained dedicated to supporting students and families and creating opportunities for academic success.
In my spare time, I enjoy making lasting memories with my husband, children, and family, shopping, traveling, and supporting my hometown Buffalo Bills.
As we begin a new school year, I look forward with excitement and purpose. Welcome back! Together, we will embrace the opportunities ahead, celebrate successes, overcome challenges, and continue building a thriving learning community where every student can succeed.
I am excited for the year ahead and value our partnership with you as we work together to make the 2026–2027 school year a positive, memorable, and successful experience for all.
My door is always open, and I welcome your ideas, questions, and partnership.
