The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) at North Park Community School recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in the five pillars of NJHS: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Citizenship, and Character. Membership is a distinguished honor earned through a student's commitment to academic achievement, personal integrity, and service to others. 

Our NJHS members exemplify the values that contribute to a strong school community and a brighter future. Through their dedication, they serve as role models for their peers and demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact both within and beyond our school. 

Scholarship 

Scholarship reflects a commitment to learning and intellectual growth. NJHS members understand that education is a lifelong pursuit and strive to expand their knowledge through diligence, effort, and a passion for learning. They recognize that scholarship opens doors to future opportunities and provides the foundation for personal and academic success. 

Service 

Service is at the heart of NJHS. Members willingly give their time, talents, and energy to help others without seeking recognition or reward. Through volunteerism and community involvement, our students work to make a meaningful difference and contribute to a better tomorrow for all. 

Leadership 

Leadership involves inspiring and supporting others while working toward shared goals. NJHS members demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and self-confidence. They understand that true leadership often requires sacrifice and a willingness to place the needs of others before their own, helping to foster a positive and productive school environment. 

Citizenship 

Citizenship reflects a commitment to the principles of democracy, responsibility, and community engagement. NJHS members respect laws, uphold the rights of others, and actively contribute to their school, community, state, and nation. They understand the importance of working together to improve society and protect the freedoms and opportunities we all share. 

Character 

Character is the foundation upon which all other qualities are built. NJHS members demonstrate respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, caring, and integrity in their daily actions. They understand that character is developed through consistent effort and a commitment to making ethical choices, even when faced with challenges.
