The Olmsted Boys Basketball team capped off an outstanding season by earning the top ranking among Western New York small schools, a testament to the team’s dedication, talent, and hard work throughout the year. Competing against some of the region’s best programs, the Panthers consistently demonstrated resilience, discipline, and teamwork, solidifying their place as one of the premier programs in the area.

This remarkable season was highlighted by several individual honors that recognized the leadership and impact of Olmsted’s student‑athletes. Tacari McCray led the way, earning Second Team All‑Western New York honors and being named Yale Cup Player of the Year, reflecting his standout performances and consistent excellence on the court. Jaden Wood was recognized with Honorable Mention All‑Western New York honors and was named to the Second Team Yale Cup, while Omar Taylor also earned Second Team Yale Cup recognition. Duriel Price rounded out the honors with an Honorable Mention Yale Cup selection.

The success extended beyond the boys’ program, as the Olmsted Girls Basketball team also earned well‑deserved individual accolades for their impressive season. Aba McCray received Honorable Mention All‑Western New York recognition and was named to the First Team Canisius Cup. Jinnah Cottman also earned First Team Canisius Cup honors, highlighting her strong contributions throughout the season. In addition, Priscilla Iheke, Naleyshka Camacho, and Simaia McColloum were each recognized with Honorable Mention Canisius Cup honors.
