APRIL 23RD, 2025 GIRLS SOFTBALL Welcome back to the Arts' Sports Page, your go-to for updates on Arts athletics. It is officially spring season, and the Arts' Girls Softball Team came out swinging in their first game against Riverside, earning a strong 25 to 5 victory. The team showed true grit and sportsmanship on the field, lifting each other up and stepping out of their comfort zones to try new strategies. Great job, girls. GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD The Girls Track team also ran their hearts out at the All High Statium meet, bringing home a well-earned win with impressive overall times. A special shoutout to the 4x1 relay team for their incredible teamwork and speed that helped carry their team to victory. PLAYER SPOTLIGHT Diomeidys Lopeg "Softball began for me at an early age and is a sport I grew up playing It all started with t-ball, and after learning the fundamentals, I joined my uncle's softball team when I was six and haven't stopped playing since. Over time, I got better and enjoyed being on the diamond. It's a sport that I eventually fell in love with and became passionate about, as playing and participating always felt good. Being part of a community surrounded by supportive people who helped each other achieve our goals has helped me develop a positive mentality in softball and in life. Softball has now become a part of me and who I am today."
