Media Day at Highmark Stadium! Come out and watch McKinley High School and Lewis J Bennett make history Thursday (9pm) and Friday (8pm) in the last ever high school football games at this historic stadium!




Superintendent Dr. Pascal Mubenga hosts Chief of Athletics, Community Schools, Family & Community Engagement Dr. Ramona Reynolds, to discuss the free and low-cost programs offered through Buffalo Public Schools Adult Education and how they’re empowering thousands of adult learners to reach their goals.

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we honor all who have served. Today, we pause to remember the bravery, sacrifice, and dedication of our nation’s veterans.

Congratulations to McKinley High School and Bennett High School! Both teams are advancing to the big stage at Highmark Stadium for the Section VI Class A and Class AA Finals—McKinley on Thursday, November 13, and Bennett on Friday, November 14. Our athletes are showing incredible drive, talent, and true Buffalo Public Schools pride!


Lafayette High School is the Class B Far West Regional Champion! After a thrilling 2–1 victory over Hornell, the Boys Soccer team is headed to the New York State Final Four next weekend in Middletown, NY. What a season of heart, hustle, and championship spirit—on to the Final Four!

BPS Athletics brought together dedicated athletic leaders and female coaches from across the district for the first EmpowerHER Coaches Roundtable discussion. From breaking barriers to building confidence, our coaches shared their experiences, insights, and ideas for enhancing BPS’ girls access, equity, and participation in sports. Together, we are moving from good to great!
