The $1,000 winner of the UB Athletics and MAC Conference “Extra Yard for Teachers” playoff recipient is Mr. Jeffrey Grossi, a math teacher at Middle Early College High School, PS 415. Today, UB Athletics and Interim Superintendent Prophet-Bullock surprised Mr. Grossi in his classroom! Mr. Grossi will use the $1,000 to create a “Math Rap Lab” in his classroom featuring five dedicated recording stations. Small groups of students will collaborate to write and record original works of art about math concepts, fusing interactive tech with Hip-Hop culture.
