History Was Made Last Night!

The first-ever BPS Districtwide Modified Softball Team took the field last night at Eden and officially began a brand new chapter for Buffalo Public Schools athletics!

While the girls came up just short in an exciting battle, falling 11-7, this game was about so much more than the final score — it was about pride, opportunity, teamwork, and making history!

Historic Highlights:

Ania from City Honors scored the first official run in program history!
She crossed the plate on a clutch base hit by Sophia from School 18!
In the circle, Sienna from North Park was dominant, leading the defense with an incredible 13 strikeouts!

This team showed heart, determination, and the kind of spirit that builds something special for the future. The first game is in the books, and this is only the beginning!

Let’s celebrate these trailblazing athletes and continue supporting girls athletics across Buffalo Public Schools!
