14-year-old Zay, a member of the BPS Modified Football team with down syndrome, scored a touchdown during the season opener!!
Zay’s mom Sylvia says he only played for a year when he was around 6 or 7. After watching the first preseason Buffalo Bills game, he got inspired to play again! She found the right fit for him right here at BPS! His teammates helped him to this moment.

IMMUNIZATION CLINICS
We are pleased to announce that we will be offering Immunization Clinics again this year in partnership with the UB School of Nursing and ECDOH. These clinics have been recognized at the state and national level, having received the Model Practice Award from the National Association of County Health Officials in July.
Students must be properly vaccinated in accordance with NYS Public Health law 2164, exclusion from school will begin on September 17th. Thank you to the following schools who will be hosting this year's clinics:
9/10- Lafayette
9/17-West Hertel
9/24- East
10/1- Bennett
10/15- Waterfront
These clinics are walk-in clinics; no appointments will be scheduled. Doors will open at 10am and we will stop letting individuals in at 2pm.
