PARENT CONDUCT POLICY
The Buffalo Public Schools is committed to ensuring that our schools are safe and orderly environments in which teaching and learning takes place each day. Therefore, the Standards for Conduct, Character, and Support apply to parents and visitors.
These policies require parents to:
Maintain Civility: Treat all teachers, administrators, and staff with respect. Shouting, profanity, or threatening behavior are explicitly prohibited.
Support the School Environment: Work cooperatively with the school to resolve concerns privately before public criticism.
Engage Respectfully Online: Avoid posting defamatory or harmful content about school personnel or students on social media.
Respect Student Privacy: Do not approach or discipline children other than your own on school grounds.
Follow Campus Procedures: Adhere to safety, visitor sign-in, and parking protocols while on school grounds.
If a parent violates these policies, consequences can range from informal warnings to being formally banned from school property or events.
