Are you looking for something exciting, interesting, and full of growth for your student this summer? Seek no further as the University at Buffalo and Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) have teamed up to offer FREE Middle School and High School programs!

Middle School program includes:
- Engineering for Kids: Making connections between real-world problems, their communities, and education to further development in the literacy of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
- Free breakfast, lunch, and snacks
- Sports: opportunities to engage and play in different sports together
- Available field trips for all students who successfully participate in LPP's Summer Program

Session 1: July 20-24, 2026
Time: 9 AM - 3 PM
Location: Hayes Annex A, UB South Campus

Session 2: July 27-31, 2026
Time: 9 AM - 3 PM
Location: Hayes Annex A, UB South Campus


High School program includes:
- Working directly with LPP staff through the understanding of public transportation
- Free breakfast, lunch, snacks
- Workshops through Youth in the Center, UB Professor Dr. Adewale Adebayo Fadugba, UB Sustainability and more
- Minimum of two (2) college tours and two (2) field trips

Session 1: July 6-10, 2026
Time: 9 AM - 3 PM (end time subject to change)

Session 2: July 13-17, 2026
Time: 9 AM - 3 PM (end time subject to change)
Location: Hayes Annex A, UB South Campus

Cast of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical

Tomorrow, Friday 3/20, Buffalo Public Schools observing the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr (Festival of Breaking the Fast) and no school will take place.

Eid al-Fitr that the end of Ramadan. Ramadan is a month when devout Muslims fast daily from dawn to sunset and is a time for increased worship, charity, and good deeds.

In addition, this is a time for charity to those in need, family & community gatherings, feast, and to seek reconciliation.

This week BAVPA has the wonderful opportunity of learning through tolerance in the Mobile Museums of Tolerance bus. This mobile museum will be here all week visited by various social studies classes.

The purpose of this bus is to "move students from dialogue to action to have them recognize their own personal responsibility in making a positive difference in the world."

Happy Groundhog Day! A tradition in folklore where a groundhog, specifically Punxsutawney Phil, emerges from his burrow to "predict" the weather. If he sees his shadow, six more weeks of winter are predicted; if not, an early spring is expected.
