14-year-old Zay, a member of the BPS Modified Football team with down syndrome, scored a touchdown during the season opener!!
Zay’s mom Sylvia says he only played for a year when he was around 6 or 7. After watching the first preseason Buffalo Bills game, he got inspired to play again! She found the right fit for him right here at BPS! His teammates helped him to this moment.

7th & 8th Grade Modified Football Modified Football practice began Monday, August 17, 2026 located at Waterfront Elementary School PS #95 . The program runs for 2.5 weeks, with players competing on the Blue Team and White Team. Registration is available online or by scanning the QR code on the flyer.
