Good luck to all of our Regents exam takers! Stay focused, do your best, and finish strong!

Faculty and Staff,

I hope everyone is well at home. Now that school will be closed for Tuesday, I wanted to quickly share our Regents exam plan as we adjust our schedules to the weather crisis: (See Image). Our proctoring assignments would remain the same, however the proctoring days would change. We are hoping that these changes would have minimal to no disruptions on the proctoring schedule for equity's sake. If you are having any difficulty, being on time or being present to any of your duties, please notify Mrs. Collea-Taylor asap.

This situation opens the possibility of having a virtual day on Monday, January 26th to allow our teachers to finish corrections. I will know about this after 11 AM tomorrow. Also, be advised that, if we go virtual, our plan involves using a posted ZOOM link in our school's website. Students would join there and be sent to their regularly schedule classes. Each teacher would have a classroom and our admin and leadership team would assist moving students from class to class. Students will not need a district device to join. Teachers are encouraged to have a PowerPoint, Nearpod or any other activity ready with an assignment. This assignment should be posted on Schoology as well. District policy allows students to receive attendance credit for the snow day when they complete this assignment within 2 weeks of the snow day. The district's expectation is that you would be teaching and interacting with your students virtually.

We will be observing this inclement weather period, and we are hopeful that school cancellations do not extend into Wednesday. If it does, we will send another email with our new plan at that time.

Stay warm and safe and as always, we will overcome these challenges!
