NYSED has updated the Athletic Placement Process (APP) for students wishing to try out for JV or Varsity sports.
Every season. Every sport. A new request is required!
A parent or guardian must complete the updated APP invitation request process each season for every sport their child wishes to try out for, even if their child previously participated on a JV or Varsity team or passed the old APP fitness test.
Previous participation and passing the former fitness test do not exempt students from the updated process.
