Girls Who Game Junior Mentors Visit CITT Edit “She Leads STEAM” Profiles!

Junior mentors from the Buffalo Public Schools IT Department’s Girls Who Game program representing Schools 37, 43, 76, and 79 recently visited the Center for Innovation, Technology and Training to begin editing their She Leads STEAM women profile videos.

During the visit, an all-female group of students from 355's Student Technology Leadership Program – Cinematography Studies joined the session to mentor and support the Girls Who Game students as they worked through the video editing process. The collaboration created a powerful peer-to-peer learning experience, with student leaders guiding younger participants in storytelling, media production, and technical editing skills.

The She Leads STEAM initiative highlights inspiring women working in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics fields. Through the project, Girls Who Game junior mentors research and profile women leaders, using video storytelling to showcase their journeys and encourage more young girls to explore STEAM careers.

The finished videos will be released soon. In the meantime, a trailer preview will give viewers a glimpse of the inspiring stories and student-produced work that will be featured in the upcoming She Leads STEAM series.

Stay tuned for the full video releases!
