BPS Department of Arts at this weekend's Allentown Art Festival and Juneteenth of Buffalo Festival!
This year, the BPS Department of Arts will be simultaneously represented at our most well-known and visited festivals in the City of Buffalo!
On Saturday, BPS Art Teachers and youth volunteers will offer a lot of fun and learning through art and arts history in our BPS African Heritage Art Activities Tent and African Heritage Chalk Walk at the Juneteenth of Buffalo Festival. Meet with our teachers to create jewelry, identity hats, Adinkra stamp art, buttons, weavings and much more! This is a favorite spot for our families, with at least 300 walking through and creating art annually.
On Saturday and Sunday, BPS Art Teachers and youth volunteers will showcase the unique work created with support from the Allentown Village Society. See original work from youth artists at North Park #50, BUILD #92, Leonardo da Vinci HS #212, South Park HS #206, Riverside HS #208 and McKinley HS #305. Also, don't forget your wallets as many of the art work will be for sale with proceeds going to the individual students and the school art clubs that support them. This is ALWAYS a favorite spot for Allentown Art Festival passers-by.. So stop by...you don't want to miss it!
