2024-2025 High School Application Process
Buffalo Public Schools is home to 18 high schools that offer a wide variety of innovative programs to meet the academic interests of students. We want all of our students to attend a school that best fits their needs and long-range goals. Families have the option to apply to a career technical (CTE), general education, or a specialized program.

Steps to the High School Application Process
Apply for school year 2024 -2025
NEW OR RETURNING STUDENTS
Complete a 2024 - 2025 High School Application in person at:
Student Placement & Registration

Buffalo, NY 14204
Student Placement & Registration will run random computerized lotteries to fill seats in grades 3Y - 8.
Assignments and wait pool letters will be mailed to families in Spring 2023 for applications submitted on or before December 1, 2023.
NOTE: If you are interested in applying to a Charter School, please contact the specific school directly.
Result letters will be mailed to families in Spring 2024 for applications submitted on or before December 1, 2023.
