Advanced Course Offerings: 9-12
The Buffalo Public School District is committed to increasing equity in educational experiences, including equitable access to advanced courses. It is our belief that all Buffalo Public School students should have the ability to pursue advanced coursework if they are committed to that path.
While advanced coursework provides an opportunity for your child to gain skills and demonstrate competencies at a higher level, advanced coursework provides other benefits as well. Other benefits of participation in advanced coursework may include:
improving a student’s self-confidence and image of self.
demonstrating a student’s preparedness for college-level coursework.
earning college credit(s) prior to graduation.
reducing future costs for higher education.
reducing the amount of time that the student must spend in secondary and/or post-secondary school.
The following sections outline the curricular offerings available to students of the Buffalo Public Schools during the 2024-25 school year. Not all offerings are available at all schools. Please consult the course descriptions of each individual course for specifics regarding availability, prerequisites, and assessments requirements.
