Dual Enrollment Programs
The Buffalo Public Schools currently has multiple partnerships with local colleges for dual enrollment programs.
Buffalo Public School students have the opportunity to enroll in college level programs, where students are enrolled in the partnering institution, take classes instructed by college professors, and earn college level credit.
Buffalo Public School #415 Middle Early College High School offers dual enrollment courses through its middle early program in partnership with Buffalo State University and SUNY Erie. A Middle College program allows high school students to earn both a high school diploma and college credits or an associate degree. It's a dual-enrollment program where students take both high school and college courses simultaneously.
As part of Leonardo daVinci High School's upcoming agreement with Buffalo State University, students will have the opportunity to take college courses. During their senior year of high school, students can take 3-4 dual enrollment, college classes. The dual enrollment courses will be offered in addition to the dual credit courses students will have the opportunity to take during their sophomore and junior year. Enrollment and successful completion of a college course will result in a student earning college credit.
