Henry Ford National Invention Convention
The Western New York Invention Convention is a nonprofit started in 1979 by former BPS Superintendent Marion Cañedo, and offers mentoring services for students in Buffalo Schools to create a novel invention that solves a current challenge. Students will work in the Afterschool programs from October through March culminating in a regional showcase at the Buffalo Museum of Science (date TBA). Top winners can move onto the National Invention Convention at the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, Michigan, where they will have a chance to audition for the Shark Tank television show and meet students from across the U.S.
We will share our 2025 - 2026 Invention Convention Schools soon!
