Compliance Items & Dates
It is highly encouraged that parents/guardians forward all compliance documents via email to BPSHomeschooling as a PDF, Word or JPEG.
According to New York State Education Department Commissioner's Regulation Part 100.10, the items listed below must be submitted each year by the following dates:

Beginning July 1, 2026* | Letter of Intent (LOI) or within 14 days of deciding to homeschool |
August 15, 2026 + | Individualized Home Instruction Plan (IHIP) |
November 6, 2026 ++ | Quarterly Report #1 |
January 22, 2027 ++ | Quarterly Report #2 |
April 16, 2027 ++ | Quarterly Report #3 |
June 30, 2027++ | Quarterly Report #4 |
June 30, 2027++ | Annual Assessment |
*Or within 14 days following the commencement of homeschooling in the school district.
+Or within four (4) weeks of receipt of the LOI.
++Suggested date. Parents may specify similar Quarterly Report due dates on the IHIP. The number of reports should be proportional to the period of homeschooling.
